Dr. Shaoyuan Wu is the founder of EPINOVA LLC and the director of its Global AI Governance Research Center, which conducts research on emerging challenges in AI governance, digital transformation, and the institutional impacts of frontier technologies. His current work examines international affairs, strategic technology competition, AI-driven structural transitions, and human–AI coevolution in global governance.
He is an AI governance scholar and policy researcher specialising in artificial intelligence governance, international law, and global strategic competition. With an interdisciplinary background spanning political science, public policy, computational methods, and maritime governance, his work focuses on integrating advanced AI technologies with real-world policy and governance applications.
Dr. Wu previously served as a faculty member at Sun Yat-sen University and the National Institute for South China Sea Studies, where he led major policy projects that shaped China’s regional governance and international strategy. His research and advisory work have contributed to high-level governmental decision-making processes.
